PiWeb 3.6: the latest version of the quality data management system optimizes processes and simplifies use With the PiWeb quality data management system, Carl Zeiss has developed a software solution tailored to the demands of the global market. It enables process evaluations in real-time around the world. The system can analyze, evaluate and graphically display any type of quality or process data.

text-align: justify;"> Now available, PiWeb version 3.6 optimizes all quality assurance processes and excels with many new, user-friendly functions and intelligent features. These include the generation of prototype test reports with integrated input fields for the manual entry of measured values. This software enables companies to integrate all measured data into the report and into the statistics—even data from measuring machines without a database interface. This additional feature simplifies the entire quality assessment process.
Furthermore, a sectional view feature has been added to PiWeb 3.6. It enables users to generate and display cross sections from the CAD models. “We placed a lot of emphasis on usability,” stated Andreas Lotze, Member of the Management Board at the Carl Zeiss Innovationszentrum für Messtechnik GmbH. “From the beginning, our intention was to develop useable products and optimize the interaction between man and machine.” The current version of the software also includes the Real-time Analysis Server module. It allows the operator to monitor and evaluate process data in real time. The process is thus more controlled and exact, and reaction times are reduced considerably. Automatic warnings when tolerances are exceeded and corrective measures and process controls can thus be implemented more easily.
Headquartered in Oberkochen, Germany, Carl Zeiss Industrielle Messtechnik GmbH is a member of the Carl Zeiss Group. It is the global leader in CNC coordinate measuring machines and complete, multi-dimensional metrology solutions for a wide variety of industrial sectors. Approximately 1,800 employees at three manufacturing locations and more than 100 sales and service centers serve customers around the world. The Carl Zeiss Innovationszentrum für Messtechnik GmbH, a subsidiary of Carl Zeiss Industrielle Messtechnik GmbH, is headquartered in Dresden. It offers software and services for all aspects of metrology. From the development of challenging mathematical processes up to complex software projects, the company is active in many fields. In addition to its own products, the Innovation Center for Metrology develops customized software beginning with entire systems up to special components and libraries. Carl Zeiss is a globally leading international group of companies in the optical and optoelectronic industry.
