York Technical College is now offering CMM Training at their INSTITUTE FOR MANUFACTURING PRODUCTIVITY facility. Both beginning and advanced classes will be offered starting in January. The instructor will be Mark Boucher. With over 30 years of CMM experience each class will take the student and give them the tools they need to become a successful CMM programmer. Each class will include The CMM Handbook and other CMM related materials.
The Institute opened in October 2002 and has served more than 2000 industry students from all over the world. Companies such as Rolls-Royce, Smith-Aerospace, Boeing, Pratt & Whitney, General Motors -Allison Transmission, Harley-Davidson, Federal-Mogul, Briggs & Stratton, York International, Ingersol-Rand, Siemens, John Deere, Honda, Superior, Graham-White, Hill Air Force Base, Toyota, Borg-Warner, and Nissan, just to name a few, send their operation and maintenance personnel to us for training to improve the up-time of their machinery. Located on the campus of York Technical College, the Institute represents a joint effort on the part of Okuma, Charmilles, the College along with other manufacturing organizations and companies to provide a competitive advantage for their customers by delivering quality education and training opportunities. Within the 20,000 square foot facility, instructors from the College, along with adjunct instructors from Okuma, Charmilles and the other manufacturing partners of the Institute, train manufacturing personnel in the use of state-of-the-art machining centers and other high-tech manufacturing machinery. Also, the Institute assists local industry in identifying in-house manufacturing, process and operational improvements.
